The Melodique Children’s Choir is a fun and social way to introduce your child to music. Any child aged five (5) and above can join our choir and enjoy group singing with songs, vocal exercises, and musical games.

Group singing is a wonderful way to increase your child’s confidence, help them to make new friends, and experience learning in an exciting and creative environment.

The sessions are held weekly during each school term at our Wollongong studio, Tuesday’s 6:00-6:30pm. You can book your child for their introductory session at any time by clicking the button below.

MELODIQUE Children’s Choir FAQs:

◦ What are the costs? Each 30-min children’s choir session is just $16.50 inc. GST. You can enjoy our 10% term discount post your child’s introductory session! (Please note Melodique’s prices are ever subject to 3rd party processing fees.)

◦ What’s the commitment? You can book your child’s introductory choir session at any time with no obligation to continue. If your child would like to continue however, we ask that you commit to attendance weekly for the remainder of the term. This could be anywhere from a 1-week to a 10-week commitment, as it depends on which week of the term your introductory session is booked. The reason we don’t offer casual attendance nor refunds for non-attendance is because we care about the group as a whole! We wish for each child to support one another’s progression and believe a consistent core will help each flourish socially, creatively, and from an educational perspective.

◦ Do I stay during the session, or drop my child off and return after? It is ultimately up to you if you would like to remain on premises during any session.

◦ What outcomes can I expect for my child? The Melodique children’s choir is repertoire focussed, which means learning to sing and completing specific songs each term as a group is the goal. For the sake of technique development, engagement, and team-building however, sessions will also include vocal warm-up exercises and fun singing games.

◦ How do choir sessions compare to private singing lessons? We believe both are valuable! Private singing lessons are more technique oriented and allow for an individually tailored approach. Choir sessions are a social and creative experience, building confidence and interpersonal skills through team-work and the opportunity for self-expression amongst supportive peers. Group singing is clearly a wonderful way for your child to make friends, whilst also learning a new skill.
